Ian Dungavell Smith; February 20, 1925 - March 9, 2015

SMITH, Ian Dungavell - "Absent from the body and at home with the Lord" 2nd Corinthians 5vs8. It is with extremely saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Ian Dungavell Smith, born February 20, 1925 and passed into his Master's presence on March 9, 2015. What a great man who had supported and serviced his sister, brother and the love of his life his wife Margaret as they suffered through terminal illnesses. He was a constant source of support for his sons and their wife's & grandchildren. He showed care and concern about all the young people that came through his life, making them feel important. His 90th birthday party was a highlight in his year as he battled cancer and pneumonia, meeting his friends both young and old made his day.

We have learned what it is to be a man of God, a person that serves others above himself. That we are to care about our fellow man in practical matters.

He is mourned by his Sons - Ian, David, Glenn, Jonathan. daughter in laws Diane, Carolyn & Debbie, grandchildren Nathan, Amanda, Vanessa, Isaac, Kyle & Cassandra and many special friends
