Week 3: Essex Ravens (2-0) vs London Jr Mustangs (2-0)
The Ontario Football Alliance is pleased to announce this week's OPFL Varsity Game of the Week: Essex Ravens vs London Jr Mustangs.
This Week's OFA OPFL Varsity Game of the Week see's the battle of unbeatens with the Essex Ravens (2-0) taking on the London Jr Mustangs (2-0).
In week 2, the Essex Ravens won a nail bitter 30-29 over the Niagara Spears. The Ravens were led by a committee on the ground totalling 126 yards and 3 TD's. Kaine Stevenson & Nash Prieur stepped up with the absence of star RB Jacob Savoni (244 Yards & 2 TD's in Week 1 vs Burlington).
Also in Week 2, we saw the London Jr Mustangs win a close one over rival Cambridge Lions, 26-23. The Mustangs were led by a HUGE game from REC Griffen Campbell, tallying 127 receving yards on only 3 catches!
With two strong running games going head to head, this looks to be a physical, smashmouth match-up! Kickoff for this week's Game of the Week is set for 8:00PM this Saturday at TD Waterhouse Stadium in London, ON.
