Mr. Dan Fournier

I have been involved in football in Ontario since 2008. I have been fortunate to have held many positions from Coaching, Organization President to multi positions in three of the main football leagues in our province. Over the years I have also chaired committees in the O.F.A. particularly in sanctioning. In this position I was able to assist in the merger of two leagues to form the Ontario Football League and in bring in two associations into membership of the O.F.A. I am currently in my second term as President of the O.F.L where we have now been able to become compliant with Football Canada’s Long Term Development Plan 2 years ahead of its mandated implementation date. By utilizing key objectives in Football Canada guidelines we have been able to have three consecutive years of increased participation. Through tiering our league to ensure balanced competition and utilizing 9 on 9 football we have been able to keep players and coaches engaged as well as ensuring teams with small numbers can continue to participate. I look forward to continuing this work with the help and support of all who share the belief that football I the ultimate team sport. If anyone would like more information or has any questions, feel free to email me at dfour bell.net .
“What value do I have to bring as the President of the OFA?”
Communication, openness to change and mutual respect are key factors in moving our sport forward. All the challenges we face can be solved with these three key factors. With my experience during my time in football and with knowing many of the people in our sport I can help in moving us forward. Many of the challenges that I have seen have at time seemed unsurmountable but they have all had positive outcomes. I look forward to continuing bringing passion and leadership to this role.
Ms. Marie Jackson

I would like to thank the Ontario Football Alliance (OFA) and its members for the potential opportunity to lead amateur football in its next decade of growth. I have been fortunate to have held several positions within the football community for over a decade that has enabled me to ascertain the knowledge, relationships, mentors and skill-set to make the overall football community in Ontario a place for advancement and prosperity. From promoting Myte, Tyke all the way to Varsity, no age group was left behind. As the President of the largest league in Ontario, my responsibilities at the time consisted of attaining sponsors, attending government meetings, establishing its annual Championship and All-Star game and most importantly, the daily running of the league. Over and above my league responsibilities, I was personally in charge of setting up part of the Grey Cup halftime show and the NFL Canada Series at Rogers. If anyone would like more information or has any questions, feel free to email me at mjackson17 hotmail.ca .
“What value do I have to bring as the President of the OFA?”
If I’m elected, my focus will be on the OFA becoming more accountable to current members, expanding membership, attaining corporate sponsors to enhance services, expand flag, increase number of certified coaches, work closely with the OUA and referees association and put in place the safest policies to protect our players on the field of play. To conclude, my wealth of football knowledge and contacts outside the game will truly enhance the current services offered by the OFA. I would like to thank everyone involved with the hiring process and wish monumental growth of our great game of football.

“What value do I have to bring as the President of the OFA?”
Value means different things to different people and what may be considered valuable to someone may not be to another. Value might also be measured as something which is important to most individuals or at least contributes to somethings overall worth. As the President of the OFA, the value I offer is to bring an increased success in productivity, efficiency, communication, transparency and inclusion, all of which would prove valuable to all members.
Areas of focus would include:
1) strengthening relationships between the OFA, its leagues and members;
2) transitioning an existing model in line with the National LTAD considering the needs and dynamics of football in Ontario;
3) reviewing the current state of coaching certification in an effort to increase efficiency and tracking, while attempting to reduce the burden of time, cost, travel and repetition;
4) further developing and marketing Ontario Football in order to attract new partners, so as to create more opportunities and football initiatives.
On a personal level, my organizational skills would allow me to create a level of structure, which would promote more accountability and subsequently more trust. My ability to effectively communicate would assist in assessing the needs of members and afford the opportunity to engage everyone in constructive and non-confrontational discussions. My ability to think critically would assist in making fact based rational decisions, while being inclusive and empathetic to the needs of the membership.
I believe in simplicity in life and work. Taking care of our people will bring strength to all.
