QUESTION 3:
What were your intial thoughts on the upcoming changes to the LTAD?

Some comments that Agree with Question 3:
"Generally, the LTAD are intended to help promote and ensure football success. There are some associations and leagues that currently are doing significant harm to the sport/participation and focus on ensuring adherence to the existing philosophies pertaining to safety and fair play must be a focus."
"I started to agree with the changes once they were clearly defined. Most of the time you hear about these things via word-of-mouth and people tend to interpret or add in some of their own ideas and thoughts. Always best to wait and read-up before basing initial thoughts on matters."
"The 2022 changes should be put in sooner. As soon as possible. Especially the minimum to start a season or play a game. Also the maximum amount of tackle games outside a season. The non contact practice rule and the limit on practice time to 120 min. These are important rules that most coaches will push back on but are crucial to make the game safer."
Some comments that Disagree with Question 3:
"Some of the Mandated changes will destroy the sport. Plain and simple. Strategy 4.B Mandating Practice Schedule makes no sense what-so-ever. You cannot mandate how a coach conducts their practice. A lot of coaches do not agree with certain coaching style systems. You should allow coaches to coach their styles that they see fit for their team. I suggest you have coaching Guidelines but I do not agree with making anything a Standard or Mandate it. Again, you will kill the sport."
"No one has any right to tell us or OUR children whom they can play for and how many seasons. One team per seasons makes sense.. beyond that shouldn’t be OFA choice. They should have the right to chose to play league over high school"
"I don’t believe any modification of a 12 on 12 game would be beneficial to any player. I don’t believe a 6 or 9 player game will help any player get more playing time or help them receive more coaching time. In fact, I believe it will be more difficult for a player to develop and will hinder their ability to understand the game as they progress. I also believe leagues should be bringing back weight limits as opposed to moving kids that play at higher levels until they are beyond our level."
