Football Canada was established Feb. 7, 1884, as the Canadian Rugby Football Union. From this modest beginning, the role and associated objectives has grown and changed significantly as it developed into the national governing body of all Canadian amateur football, representing tackle, touch and flag components, including players, coaches, officials and administrators.
