Making Head Way in Football Deadline Extended
2015-05-01
Over the last week, some coaches have had problems with the Locker giving an “unexpected error message” that has been fixed. In light of the technical issue experienced, OFA will extend the deadline for coaches to complete Making Headway to May 15th.
Making Headway in Football will provide all coaches with concussion awareness training. This online module takes only 60-90 minutes to complete and is FREE of charge. You take the module by accessing your NCCP coach number through "The Locker" which is the online database where all NCCP information is stored.
"Making Headway in Football is a great foundation to get our coaches engaged in the coach development process through the NCCP program which has received valuable updates and upgrades in the past two years." - Chris Patton, Ontario Football Alliance Technical Director.
"We are both pleased and excited to see the OFA take the initiative to reduce the risk of injury and concussions to our athletes. Through the combination of the Safe Contact program and Making Headway in Football workshop the OFA emphasizes the role of the coach and volunteers in helping to improve the safety of our sport. I hope all coaches and volunteers take the time to educate themselves in these initiative so everyone has a hand in making this great sport as safe a possible." - Glen Mills, OVFL Commissioner.
