OFA President: Dan Fournier
2019-11-18
Congratulations to Dan Fournier who has been voted in as Ontario Football's next President.
On Saturday, November 16th, 2019 the Ontario Football Alliance membership officially voted in Dan Fournier as its next President.
A little bit about Mr. Dan Fournier

I have been involved in football in Ontario since 2008. I have been fortunate to have held many positions from Coaching, Organization President to multi positions in three of the main football leagues in our province. Over the years I have also chaired committees in the O.F.A. particularly in sanctioning. In this position I was able to assist in the merger of two leagues to form the Ontario Football League and in bring in two associations into membership of the O.F.A. I am currently in my second term as President of the O.F.L where we have now been able to become compliant with Football Canada’s Long Term Development Plan 2 years ahead of its mandated implementation date. By utilizing key objectives in Football Canada guidelines we have been able to have three consecutive years of increased participation. Through tiering our league to ensure balanced competition and utilizing 9 on 9 football we have been able to keep players and coaches engaged as well as ensuring teams with small numbers can continue to participate. I look forward to continuing this work with the help and support of all who share the belief that football I the ultimate team sport. If anyone would like more information or has any questions, feel free to email me at dfour bell.net .
“What value do I have to bring as the President of the OFA?”
Communication, openness to change and mutual respect are key factors in moving our sport forward. All the challenges we face can be solved with these three key factors. With my experience during my time in football and with knowing many of the people in our sport I can help in moving us forward. Many of the challenges that I have seen have at time seemed unsurmountable but they have all had positive outcomes. I look forward to continuing bringing passion and leadership to this role.
