Did You Know?: Ontario Safe Sport Task Force

2019-08-15

Ontario Football's own Adam Ziegler joins Ontario Safe Sport Task Force.

What it’s about:

As a follow up to the Ontario Safe Sport Summit held March 6 at BMO Learning Institute and the National Summit on Safe Sport held in Ottawa May 7 – 8.  A sector-lead Ontario Safe Sport Task Force has been created to make recommendations for a safer sport system in Ontario.

In order to address the urgency of ensuring safe and positive sport experiences, the Ontario Safe Sport Task Force will develop a harmonized strategy and approach to reduce maltreatment in sport within the province of Ontario’s sport system. The strategy and approach will lead to a number of recommendations which will apply to all areas within the jurisdiction of Provincial Sport Organizations, as well as relevant Multisport Services Organizations.
