Joe Cappiello to Return as U16 Team Ontario HC

U16 Team Ontario HC Joe Cappiello to Return for 2022 Eastern Regional Challenge

 

Hamilton, Ontario - Ontario Football is proud to announce that Joe Cappiello will be returning through the 2022 year to finish off the final year of his three-year term as the Head Coach of the U16 Team Ontario football team. 

 

Joe Cappiello who also serves as the Recruiting Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues football program will be leading the team to the Eastern Regionals in 2022. The Eastern Regional Challenge will be held in New Brunswick and more details on the event will be coming soon. 

 

Joe Cappiello has been serving on the Varsity Blues staff since 2011 and will be entering his third season as the U16 Team Ontario HC. Prior to his coaching career he enjoyed a five year career as a defensive lineman for the University of Toronto where he dressed and started in each game and was chosen as the University of Toronto Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2007.

 

Coach Cappiello is especially excited to start the new year heading out of the pandemic and get the players back on the field. 

 

“I'm ecstatic to return as the Head Coach of Team Ontario U16. Looking forward to coaching our best young athletes from around the province to a Regional Championship at the Eastern Challenge,” says Joe.
