Football Ontario to host Pre-Identification Camps for Team Ontario Flag

Football Ontario Announces Two Pre-Identification Camps for Team Ontario Flag to be Held in Coming Months

 

Hamilton, Ontario - Football Ontario is excited to announce that the organization will be holding two pre-identification camps for Team Ontario Flag in the coming months. The first camp will be held in Hamilton on Saturday, August 21st at Williams Connell City Wide Park, 1086 W5th Street. The second camp will be held in Ottawa on Saturday, September 25th at a location to be announced at a later date.

 

Both camps will run from 8am until 5pm on the dates mentioned above and will each contain four separate sessions. All sessions will include non-contact football skills, one on one drills, and scrimmages. Players can attend for pure skill development or for evaluation for the 2022 Team Ontario provincial flag football teams.

 

“We are putting a priority on developing our Team Ontario Flag teams as early as possible to help give us the foundation to be successful in the 2022 Football Canada event calendar.” says Aaron Geisler, Executive Director of Football Ontario “The goal is to start to identify the players in the province for all age groupings for both male and female divisions and begin the high performance development process.”

 

SESSION 1 (8:30am-10:00am EST) - FUTURES GROUP

• Ages 10-12 

• Male and Female

• Cost: $20

 

SESSION 2 (10:15am-12:15pm EST) - HIGH PERFORMANCE GROUP

• Ages 13-16

• Male

• Cost: $20

 

SESSION 3 (12:30pm-2:30pm EST) - HIGH PERFORMANCE GROUP

• All Ages

• Female

• Cost: $20

• 4 Sections

  • U16 Section

  • U18 Section

  • U20 Section

  • Senior Section

 

SESSION 4 (2:30pm-4:30pm EST) - HIGH PERFORMANCE GROUP

• Ages 17+

• Male

• Cost: $20

 

These camps are the first step of the identification process for Team Ontario Flag and will be followed up with the second step in the identification process, tournaments for the athletes to participate in. These steps create the pathway that will allow prospective athletes to compete with the Team Ontario Flag program in 2022 at Football Canada's Regional and National Flag Championships.
