Football Ontario Unveils Team Ontario Coaching Staff

Football Ontario Announces the U16 and U18 Team Ontario Coaching Staffs

 

Hamilton, Ontario - Football Ontario has officially unveiled the Team Ontario coaching staff for both the U16 and U18 male tackle programs.

The U16 staff is led by Head Coach, Joe Cappiello and General Manager, Lawrence Hopper. The entire coaching staff is listed below.

 

 

• General Manager - Lawrence Hopper

• Head Coach - Joe Cappiello

• Defensive Coordinator/Linebacker Coach - Brenden Conway

• Offensive Coordinator/Wide Receiver Coach - Matthew Nesbitt

• Special Teams Coordinator/Defensive Back Coach - Ryan Kublek

• Quarterback Coach - Marcello Lio

• Offensive Line Coach - Rob Fuciarelli

• Defensive Line Coach - Lucas Peckham

 

When asked about his coaching staff, Coach Cappiello said, "I am very Excited to welcome a very passionate staff to the U16 Team Ontario Program! There is a great mix of experience in the Canada Cup and amazing young coaches representing regions from all over our great Province! Cannot wait for our U16 football talent in this province to work with this group.”

The U18 staff is led by Head Coach, Rob Underhill and General Manager, Joe Joncas. The entire coaching staff is listed below.

Combined with extraordinary football talent in the province and the innovative direction of Football Ontario, we are most certainly poised for immediate results during this 2022 campaign,” said Coach Underhill on his excitement for the coaching staff and program.

Coach Cappiello and Coach Underhill have done an amazing job of putting together a staff filled with a high-level of specialized football knowledge, diverse levels of coaching experience and most importantly great teachers/role models for our athletes. Each of these coaches exemplifies Football Ontario’s core pillars of excellence, growth and community.” says JT Tsui, the Director of Sport for Football Ontario.

 

Football Ontario is excited to have these two talented and experienced staffs lead the Team Ontario program and players to success in 2022 at the National Championships. Both staffs provide top level coaches with both university and prior Canada Cup experience which will help the players in both their practical football techniques and skills as well as help further their exposure.
