Tera has been with the Jr. Mustangs for over 3 years. She has been a major part of our game day operations in the summer and fall seasons. Her work ethic is always met with enthusiasm even at the end of a long day that encompasses coordinating game day activities and volunteers for the 5 games we have across all age groups. Tera is extremely dedicated to our program and is recognized for her positive attitude with parents from our Atom division all the way up to the Varsity team. Her leadership comes from ‘catching more flies with honey than vinegar’, she is a warm person who knows how to get the best out of everyone. When it comes to lifelong learner, as I stated earlier, this women, who is also a mother of several children returned to school to pursue her degree and be a role model for her children.

He has never wavered in his support of the OFA. His determination in growing football has never changed and despite the many obstacles and personal agendas that he has had to overcome from others he has stayed positive and uncompromising in his objectives.

Coach of the Year – OUA Greg Marshall

Coach of the Year – Max Palladino

Max has recently announced he is stepping down after 16 years as a Head Coach for Myers Riders for both our OVFL and NCAFA programs. Max has a very special gift as it relates to mentoring  young people. He is able to encourage, motivate newcomers to our sport but also able to establish commitment  and sportsmanship for all his players. Max has coached at all the various age groups and his team's all seem to enjoy a special camaraderie where fun is stressed as well as discipline  on the field. Our Club has enjoyed tremendous success in terms of winning games on the field. He has been our Head Coach for Varsity team in recent years. Our Varsity team has played in four consecutive championships, capturing 2 championships including a 32-1 record for the last three years. This exceptional Head Coach has contributed to many players development to NCAA, CIS and professional  ranks .

Max has also been a significant contributor to Myers Riders off the field. He has raised in excess of $100,000 in sponsorships and is an active participant in all matters affecting our Club. Though Max will not be coaching in 2016, he continues to participate in an advisory role and fundraising.

As we all realize , coaches make so many sacrifices to our game and often lose valuable family time. Max has coached Summer and Fall for most of his16 years.

Coach of Year – Glen Mills

This coach also serves as an administrator in his own centre as well as his league and sits on the OFA board. He believes in leading by example and encourages player & coach development. Provides opportunities for that development through clinics and off season training programs. When selecting staff and players, he chooses character first and emphasizes winning position through merit and ability. This coach believes in doing the right thing, even if it isn’t popular. He has sacrificed on field success to teach life lessons. An example benching 11 players before a playoff game for disciplinary reasons. He has tremendous dedication to the sport, working tirelessly at the Youth, Travel, High School, Provincial, & National levels to promote the Sport. He has been the Head Coach of Team Ontario for 4 years and in 2015 was Head Coach of the U18 Team Canada.
