Ontario, Quebec win gold at Under-16 Eastern Flag Challenge

Charlottetown, PE (August 4, 2019) – In the final day of competition at University of Prince Edward Island, Ontario and Quebec had a banner day.
In the Male Division, it was an all Ontario final for the gold medal. Ontario (1) defeated Ontario (2) 34-20 to take top place. Ontario (2) claimed silver.
Quebec got past Nova Scotia (2) 27-21 to win the bronze medal.
On Sunday morning, Quebec scored a 35-14 victory over Nova Scotia, Ontario (2) outlasted Nova Scotia (2) 20-13 and Ontario (1) cruised to a 38-15 win over Quebec.
Offensive MVP of the tournament was William Missere from Ontario (1). Matthew Morden from Ontario (2) was named Defensive MVP of the tournament.
As for the Female Division, Quebec defeated Nova Scotia (2) 13-6. Despite the loss, Nova Scotia claims silver.
In the bronze medal game, Ontario coasted to a 47-7 victory over Nova Scotia (1).
Earlier in the day, Nova Scotia (2) earned a 32-0 shutout victory over Prince Edward Island, Quebec earned a 54-0 win over New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island bested New Brunswick 39-6, Quebec cruised to a 27-6 victory over Nova Scotia (1) and Nova Scotia (2) got past Ontario 13-6.
Ontario’s Sloane Lucyk was named Offensive MVP of the tournament. As for Defensive MVP of the tournament it was Quebec’s Béatric Hénault.
Saskatchewan claims dual titles at Under-18 Flag Nationals

Kutzan, David, Barbaro and Wiens named tournament MVPs
Regina, SK (July 28, 2019) – It was a clean sweep for the host province on Sunday at the 2019 Under-18 Flag Nationals.
Both of Saskatchewan’s Male and Female teams won gold in their respective divisions.
In the Male Division, Saskatchewan defeated British Columbia 21-12 to win gold. Despite the loss British Columbia claimed silver. In the bronze medal game, Manitoba edged Nova Scotia 28-27.
In Sunday morning’s action, British Columbia squeezed out a 15-13 victory over Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan edged Manitoba 14-13, Ontario scored a 20-8 victory over Alberta, Alberta pulled out a 13-12 victory over Quebec and Ontario defeated Quebec 12-6.
Tournament MVPs were Manitoba’s Carter Kutzan (offense) and Nova Scotia’s Naijaun David (defense).
As for the Female Division, Saskatchewan 1 was victorious over Quebec 12-6 to win gold. Quebec takes home silver. Meanwhile, Manitoba squeezed by Nova Scotia 7-6 to take the bronze medal.
Earlier in the day, Saskatchewan (1) defeated Manitoba 12-2, Quebec earned a 32-0 shutout over Nova Scotia, Ontario got past Saskatchewan (2) 18-12, Saskatchewan (2) defeated Alberta 25-6 and Ontario scored a 25-6 victory over Alberta.
Tournament MVPs were Manitoba’s Alyssa Barbaro (offense) and Saskatchewan 1’s Danielle Wiens (defense).
Quebec does clean sweep of gold, silver at Under-20 Flag Nationals

Charlottetown, PE (August 4, 2019) – Quebec dominated on the final day of competition at the Under-20 Flag Nationals to setup a gold medal game showdown at University of Prince Edward Island on Sunday afternoon.
In the championship game, Quebec (1) earned an 8-0 shutout victory over Quebec (2) to win gold. Despite the loss, Quebec (2) claimed silver.
Ontario needed double overtime to pull out a 13-12 win over Nova Scotia to take home bronze.
Earlier in the day, Quebec (1) cruised to a 23-7 win over Ontario while Quebec (2) earned a 33-0 shutout victory over Nova Scotia.
Offensive MVP for the tournament was Amelia DesRoches from Quebec (1). Lea Duval from Quebec (1) was named Defensive MVP for the tournament.
