Ontario Football Alliance NEW Provincial Spring Tackle Football League

As the recognized Provincial Governing Body for all Sanctioned Football in Ontario, the Ontario Football Alliance would like to thank the OPFL Executives for their participation in the 2020 Covid-19 year and wish them all the best moving forward.

Hamilton, Ont. – The Ontario Football Alliance is proud to announce the Launch of the NEW OFA Spring Tackle Football League.  

A league for the members, governed and operated by the members.

The Ontario Football Alliance will be structuring the NEW League in coordination with members to implement competitive opportunities and a pathway for both male and female athletes.  The OFA will be utilizing our partnerships and access to Sport Canada recognized documentation, coaching programs, structured training, high-performance opportunities both provincial and national, provincial grants, risk management tools and much, much more to provide a better experiences for our athletes, coaches and volunteers alike.
 
As the Governing Body for all Sanctioned Football in Ontario, the Ontario Football Alliance will utilize it's professional relationships with Football Canada, the OUA, the Ontario Government (MHSTCI), CFL, Coaches Association of Ontario, to implement these programs with our NEW board members, NEW President and NEW Executive Director joining us in the new year.  Having full time staff dedicated to grow football at both a grass roots and competitive level in coordination with all recognized governing bodies enables the Ontario Football Alliance to provide clear growth and pathway opportunities for athletes who want to play at the highest level of football.
 
In accordance with provincial health guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic the OFA is working to provide a pathway back to tackle football with the Ontario government and until such time
the organization will work to position the new spring tackle football league to be ready to operate as soon as the government allows whether in 2021 or 2022.
