The Ontario Football Alliance announces new Executive Director.
Hamilton, Ontario February 5, 2021: The Ontario Football Alliance, the recognized provincial governing body for football in Ontario by the Ontario Ministry of Sport and Tourism and Football Canada, today announced that Aaron P. Geisler has been named as Executive Director of the organization. Aaron who was most recently the Director of Sport at Football Canada serving within the national governing body for 8 years will be transitioning to the leading role within the Ontario football organization. Aaron’s extensive experience in sport administration, coaching, and facilitating combined with his intense passion for growing the sport will position football in Ontario as a leader in sport delivery.
After a lengthy interview process which included membership input/oversight the hiring committee and board made this selection based off Aaron’s extensive experience and professional achievements. He holds degrees from the University of Western Ontario (Master in Kinesiology with a focus on Coaching/Sport Management) and brings a wealth of experience from his time at Football Canada. During his tenure at Football Canada Aaron helped lead the development of programs such as the National Coach Certification program, Safe Contact, the Football Canada mobile app, CFL Futures, and the First Down program.

Aaron Geiser comes to the province with 13 years experience as a coach at the grass roots, high performance and OUA levels. He was most recently a positional coach for the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees coaching staff from 2013 - 2018. In 2012 he was a part of the OFC Junior champion London Beefeaters while completing his graduate work as a graduate assistant with Western. As a player one of the highlights of his career was leading the OFC Junior conference in rushing with the London Beefeaters.

I hope to guide the Ontario Football Alliance forward as an organization with collaboration, transparency, innovation and most importantly teamwork.”
As executive director, Aaron will work closely with members, the Ontario Football Alliance Board of Directors, Ontario football community and Football Canada to strengthen the organization. One of his first acts as director will be to reach out to membership and stakeholders to get feedback about the direction of football development as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Aaron will officially take on the role of Executive Director starting February 22/2021.
