"The OFC shares the OFA's vision and commitment toward promoting the great game of football here in Ontario," OFC President Darren Cochetto said.

"We are looking forward to working closely with the OFA's new leadership in establishing several new initiatives that will be designed to improve football in Ontario and encourage greater participation across all levels and age groups."

In collaboration with the OFA, the OFC Juniors is working with its member clubs to ensure COVID-19 permitted football programming. The goal is to provide each club with an opportunity to play football safely. The OFA will be a resource for OFC members on Return to Football protocols, football programming options, insurance and other issues related to operating and growing amateur football as the sport and province navigates through the pandemic.

"The OFC plays a crucial role in providing Ontario athletes post-secondary football opportunities." Aaron Geisler, OFA Executive Director, said.

"Alignment with stakeholders and to provide value to their associations and participants is essential to create momentum for our sport as we emerge from the pandemic."

The OFC has a rich history in the province with six associations throughout the province.  They are one of three conferences in the 18-team in the Canadian Junior Football League, including the BC Football Conference and the Prairie Football Conference. The OFC is set to host the Canadian Bowl in November, providing a showcase for the junior game on a Central Canadian stage.
