Ontario Football reduces membership pricing for 2021

OFA takes steps to reduce financial barriers to participation

Hamilton, Ontario March 8/2021- The Ontario Football Alliance (OFA) announced today the immediate reduction of non-contact membership fees for 2021 in a step to increase participation moving through the pandemic.

The Ontario Football Alliance Board of Directors moved March 3/2021 to reduce the 2021 non-contact membership fee from $35 per participant to $25 per participant. The price reduction will take effect immediately and stay in effect until December 31/2021. The Board has recommended a full review of membership pricing for 2022 and beyond. A request will be provided to the Finance committee and Executive council to do a full review and provide feedback and suggestions moving forward. Until the process is completed and approved prices for 2022 will remain at 2019 price points.

This announcement marks an effort to work with membership to reduce barriers to participation in the sport while understanding the tough financial situation families are facing.

"The Ontario Football Alliance understands how important it is to get as many participants into our sport as possible. We also understand that people have struggled through this pandemic and the organization needs to do its part to help out families " Aaron Geisler, OFA Executive Director, said.

"The organization has made it a priority to do a complete review of its membership pricing and structure beyond 2021 to ensure it is providing maximum value to the membership. "
